April 14, 2016 by

Verdazo Analytics’ President Bertrand Groulx will deliver a presentation on Practitioners Day at the annual Canadian Operational Research Society (CORS) conference on May 31, 2016 in Banff, AB. The presentation is titled “Visual Analytic Techniques for Operational Efficiency & Performance Improvements.”

This visually stimulating presentation is particularly timely given the collapse in commodity prices and the need to identify every optimization opportunity possible. Groulx will explain how data analytics are being used by companies to identify downtime reduction opportunities, reduce costs and establish competitive advantages.

CORS is a scientific and professional society that takes a leadership role in the advancement of both the theory and the practice of Operational Research (OR) in Canada and safeguards the existence of a vital Canadian OR community by promoting contact between people interested in the subject.

Groulx is a recent Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) nominee for the Regional Production and Operations Award. Groulx was nominated for his contributions to advancing industry best practices, elevating industry understanding of complexities in type-well curve development and improving analytic capabilities and statistical methodologies.

Groulx’s CORS presentation begins at 10:45 a.m. (May 31, 2016 in Banff)
